Barack Obama Kia Car Commercial

Savvy marketing directors at Kia are tapping into the "Obama-Effect" to promote their latest cars. The newest Kia car ads feature an Obama look-alike who talks about trade-in values and other incentives which create an admittedly funny commercial.

By utilizing some of Barack's political rhetoric framed in the context of a new car ad I can't help but crack a smile. This commercial recently aired during the John Stewart show and it left the host flabbergasted when they went back on air.

"Even ordinary folks like you can buy a Kia"
YES YOU CAN!!

So kudos go out to the Kia marketing department for having the guts to jump on such a cutting edge and risqué ad campaign. Being a huge Obama fan myself I can say that if I were a car buyer right now I would actually put a Kia model on my short-list for their ability to tap into my political psychographic profile.

And of course, here is the commercial you've just got to see:

The kudos should be going go to Central Kia and their advertising agency ... not Kia's marketing department. This is a local dealer ad, not a national Kia ad.

Good call on the kudos redirection. I should definitely give credit to the Central Kia ad agency.

Thanks for the clarification anonymous!
